Getting Down To Crunch Time

Post by Rebel-Fan-74 »

Dorman vs Greenwood
First thoughts are simple, at the beginning of week 2, when Dorman was 0-2, who had them penciled in for a home game this week with anyone? What about last week when Greenwood having lost big time to T L Hanna in the regular season had to go to T L Hanna for the rematch? Anyone planning on going to Anderson this week to watch the T L Hanna -vs- Dorman game? I remember posting that Dorman may be the best 0-2 team in the state that week but I was still thinking that the fourth seed from Region 3 may come down to Dorman and Boiling Springs.... that's usually what happens when I start thinking. I don't see this as a 39-32 type of game, I think TD's will be about as rare as defense in the BIG XXII conference, so I think {oops, I did it again} this one will be more like Dorman 17-10

Hillcrest -vs- Gaffney
Gaffney at home has been unbeatable, Gaffney on the road has been a different story. My Region 3 bias wants to say Gaffney will win but maybe not as bad as they did in the regular season, but my mind drifts back to the statement about T L Hanna and Greenwood and I remember that old axiom that it is hard to beat a good team twice in the same season. This one could be one of those games where old Mo plays a big part in the outcome. If Mo jumps on and joins with the Indian Mojo, it could be real bad for the Rams; however, if Mo decided to stroll down the Hillcrest sidelines and the crowd gets into it, a WR breaks a long TD run... then it may come down to the final play of the game. I'm doing all I can do to delay this pick, but here goes: Gaffney 37 Hillcrest 35

Greer -vs- Greenville
This one may be similar to watching a BIG XII game as they may have a score more like a basketball game. Lot of offensive firepower on both sides of the field and I like the Jackets to win this one, and I think it could be a 2 score game. Greer 44 Greenville 35

South Pointe -vs- Eastside
Thank you for playing Eastside, there are some nice consolation prizes waiting for you in the locker room. I'm a believer in the South Pointe Stallions. I mean no disrespect to Eastside and they have made tremendous strides with the team this season. I would have never picked them to still be playing at this point in time; but I just think South Pointe is too much talent to pick against now..... and maybe the rest of the bracket. South Pointe 35 Eastside 14

Chapman - Palmetto
Chapman is about as solid of an offense an you will find and if Colton was just a little bit taller, there would be coaches all over the place in Inman. I'm not very up on the Palmetto team, but at this point in the season, if you are playing, you must be pretty good.... but I'm still going Chapman 42 - 21

I'm not a Lower State or Pee Dee region guy so I'm not going to be able to come up with something for those areas, but I know we have some posters just ready to fill us in with the pre-game report.......
