I WANT TO SAY "HAPPY THANKSGIVING" TO ALL MY FRIENDS ON HERE. I HOPE THAT Y'ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY AND SPEND TIME WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. TO THOSE WITH FOOTBALL TEAMS STILL PLAYING IN THE PLAYOFFS GOOD LUCK FRIDAY NIGHT. DON'T EAT TOO MUCH THOUGH!!!!

My daughter got me the first season of WKRP on DVD!
So i'll be enjoying the best Thanksgiving sitcom episode ever!

Yes. The name of the episode is Turkeys Away. Episode #7.
As Jennifer states....(and it is somewhat true in HS Football)
"a lot of Turkey's don't make it through Thanksgiving."
Some other good ones... Mama's Review, Hold-Up, A Date with Jennifer, Goodbye Johnny, and The Contest Nobody Could Win, Fish Story and the Preacher.
I'm hoping the DVDs have the original music, the Hulu version of the show didn't.
Will get back to you on that one...

Best show ever except maybe for Mash or Cheers.

As far as the music, the first season just used any song they wanted without permission. I believe they were sued and certainly asked to stop. The royalties on all the songs turned out to be too much money and they had to replace the songs in re-runs with generic stuff.
Remember when Johnny is listening to Dogs from the Animals album and Mr. Carlson comes in the booth bored and says, "Is that dogs barking I hear?"
Or the episode where Johnny gets punished and has to DJ the morning show and changes his DJ name from Dr. Johnny fever to "Heavy Early"?
