SAME STORY, DIFFERENT DAY VALDOSTA-57 BEAUFORT-20

This game was over 2 and a half minutes in. We kicked off, held the Cats to 3 and out. They punted. 2 plays later, a pick 6 and the rout was on. Next series for Beaufort netted a scoop and almost score for the Cats on a fumble by the QB. A 1 yard run on the first play by the Cats, 14-zip at the 9:32 mark. We wind up down 28-zip at the end of 1 with 1 first down on a penalty, and ZERO net yards of offense. By the middle of quarter 2 we are down 36-zip and Valdosta calls off the dogs, and we play against backups the rest of the way. We get a long TD pass against their backups and wind up down 43-6 at the half. Playing with a running clock, we manage 2 score against 3rd and 4th team defenders for the Cats. A kickoff return for a TD, and yet another pick 6 completes the scoring. I did see more effort this week, but not much better results. 4 straight weeks of 5A and 6A competition ends with a trip to little mexico to play the fluffers next week. What an incredible facility that the Wildcats have. Valdosta State University actually plays their games in the High School stadium, NOT the other way around. A video board that makes the Clemturd's and the Clucker's screens look like cellphones. Now having watched Beaufort High games for more than 50 years, I can say that we have been to the top of the mountain. Nothing in this state comes close to that facility. (Sorry folks from up NORTH) Yes, there are newer, more modern, and more expensive, High School facilities in Texas, but who in their right mind would even consider going to a hell-hole like Texas? I have some pictures that I will try to upload during the week.
