Gaffney at Woodmont

Looks like I’m headed to Piedmont SC tonight.

Couple of observations:
#1 - Woodmont plays a game that makes you think of those old silent movie clips of Notre Dame -vs- Army in black and white. Win one for the Gipper! Four Horsemen!
#2 - Fan support was lacking on the home side. Other than the student section and the band, barely enough to cover the parents of the kids.
#3 - Gaffney fans are not really fans of their coaching staff. This was a very bad performance by Gaffney. As some of the fans around me were "expressing" to the coaching staff, they did not look prepared for Woodmont. Defense, Offense and Special teams looked like they had played on a short week, not coming off a BYE.
I think this was a poor showing, but a wake up call. I fully expect the Indians to bounce back next week STRONG and look much better.
I must say, Woodmont field and stands were above average for Greenville County.
