Pros and Cons of High School Ball/College Ball

Post by DeCav »

Compare and contrast!

Why I prefer
High school football:

Cheaper
Closer
More intimate fanbase
Less traffic.
You can lose a few games in High School and still win state. (I know...numbers)
You can travel a few hours and hang out with every other football fan your team competes with.

I prefer both high school and college

I agree with all of your points Decav the only thing i will add is on Saturdays during college you get to tail gate and enjoy the full pregame atmosphere outside the stadium and while at a high school game you don't really get to do that cause you are usually rushing home from work to get ready to rush to a game to be there by kick off

DeCav.....I do love high school football. Do you think high school football is "what it used to be"? When I was growing up, everyone was at the Friday night game. I grew up in small towns in NC and SC (Wilson, NC: Orangeburg, SC: Hudson, NC: Goose Creek, SC), However, with soccer and lacrosse and the injury (concussion) issues, do you think high school football is declining?

About one year ago, the city of Tega Cay, SC went to flag football instead of contact football for the younger age group in their rec league - this will hurt Fort Mill High.......
