FLORENCE, S.C. – Hartsville football star Demonte Capehart was at the Red Foxes’ workouts Thursday.
Will he remain a Red Fox next Thursday? It’s not looking that way, according to Hartsville coach Jeff Calabrese. “We believe he is going to play at IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) for his senior season, but it is not official as of today,” said Calabrese. <snip>
Capehart is even ranked by Rivals as the country’s third-best defensive tackle.

Re: Hartsville's Demonte Capehart may transfer to IMG Academ
Hate to see this. Getting tired of the football and basketball factories popping up. We even have a few, trying to copy the format, that are popping up around SC with supposedly another couple in the pipeline. Now I know that every kid with a couple of stars on their resume think they are destined for the NFL and feel the pull, or maybe pushed, into going to one of these places. Truth is, most of the ones with NFL level talent will make it. For the others, when they look back on things one day will probably wish they stayed where they were and enjoyed a normal senior year.
