55 YEARS YALL, LOVE ME OR NOT

Post by CITYSLICKER »

After 55 years of Friday night lights, it’s near here again for this old deer, from age 14 to 69, my excitement has never failed me, the pureness and the love of the games played by the young men and all us old men watching the young boys play for us to talk and brag about the wins and living our youth in them is simply priceless. Renewing friendships and even meeting fans from other schools is my bottle of youth. I try every year to get back to the boys of fall, to taste their will and to feel renewed every august is my transformation of my life's destination. now after so many years of good and bad times with my Berkeley stags, like 9 coaches later, it’s still wakes my senses and makes me not just want to go to the games but also to run to the top of the stadiums and let everyone know, I still got the moves and the energy and the want and desire to make it to the top stands and to taste the sounds and smells of rejuvenation to make my 69 year old legs run for the boys of fall to stop father time in his quest to claim me. it’s about feeling the youth of America show their will and school colors and fight till their last breath to bring on a win through hot and cold, rain and shine. That is why cancer and a small stroke didn't slow me, I can fly and live my spirit every Friday night to continue my life off those boys of fall. Thank you, mamas and daddies, for giving me your young men to get me through my life's journey to have them as my boy to brag and praise them as my own. we don't know when our end will come but if I can get to august and run up to the top of them stands, I can make it the for another year. Thank you mamas, and daddies, coaches, players, and yes we all talk trash about players and coaches sometimes and I see the coaches wife's looking so mad when we talk about their husbands and players, but it’s just talk at the end of the day we love all of you especially the poor wives that give up so much of their life waiting on their men to come home. My renewal, my life is here for this old deer. LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
