WildStallion if you are on here - can you confirm if Jay Currence took the OC job?

We at least look the part this year and with some of the kids about to come through; we should be set up nicely!

Wondering if there are only "old fogies" left on these message boards? You don't see many new posters getting logins. Also wondering if football teams will start feeling lack of interest soon too. As kids grow up not so physical. Instead they grow up with xbox, ps4, nintendo, etc. I heard a boy talking about he didn't want to go outside b/c there was bugs outside the other day. THAT USE TO BE ALL THE MORE REASON TO GO OUTSIDE FOR ME!
Not trying to sound like the old guy on the corner talking about: "get off my lawn"! But, geez! Sad times it seems! The trick now is to find a way to get the kids outside and into doing something physical like: Playing Football!

So right. That's been a problem in Columbia for a long time now. It seems to be affecting more areas of the state now. I hate seeing it. There used to be alot of pride in hometown football teams. It was a good way to draw communities together. I guess this is called progress. If so, we need to regress.High school football is alot of entertainment for less than the price of a movie ticket. Also a great way to run into old friends and even make new ones. Can't do that with Facebook.

Fortnite is a pain in the butt too. Every kid thinks they’re either going to do that for a living or be a YouTube sensation.

5thqtr, You let the CAT OUT OF THE BAG with Jay Currence as the Offensive Play-Caller Coach at South Pointe. Most People will say WHO??????????? But I believe he is a Diamond in the Ruff and will be well known when it is all been said and done. Just like when Clemson came up with a new play that is now used by the NFL, I think that Jay has that Talent.

Coach Holloman confirmed on WRHI's Straight Talk w/ Chris Miller on Friday that Currence will be the pass game coordinator and Beckler will be the run game coordinator. The two will share the offensive play-calling duties.

WRHI - thank you for the information!

WildStallion - thank you! I agree with you. Jay will demand the best out of those players as well. No loafs. No acting entitled.

Stallions have a wealth of talent and perhaps more of a chip on their shoulder this season.

***I said it before I knew for certain multiple times last year on PFT - "something wasn't right about our team"! I couldn't figure it out; but it wasn't talent. Some things that normally were corrected I think was allowed to happen behind the scenes and it got out of control. Hopefully, we have someone "fully vested" in the kids and the program!
For clarity - I don't think that was the case all along; just last season! Because some things didn't happen the way some individuals felt they should have gone. I think that clearly translated to the field. Not going to be messy; but It was a bit messy from what I know about it. No need to air it here. I am just happy we have someone who wants to be at South Pointe!
