Well played game by both teams. I was really impressed by the strong line play of the Rebels. They have good size and speed. We ran the ball pretty well but could never break free for a big play. Showed some fight toward the end to make it close. Would have loved to play two more quarters with you guys. Good luck on the rest of your season.

It was well played and physical. Both teams had good size and speed. I’m just happy both teams competed well. These scrimmages are not about winning or losing, it’s about competing and learning. Both teams coaches have a lot to evaluate after this kind of matchup. Abbeville we thank you for this work tonight.

We were actually pretty tough last year with a very young team. We finished last season 9-3 and region champs. Not bad for a team full of underclass men. Expectations are high this year. We return all of our key skill positions ( 3 yr starter at QB passed for over 1000 yards and rushed for over 900 yards, both RB’s, one rushed for over 1200 yards and the other was a freshman and he rushed for over 700 yards, 3 starting WR’s return, as well as some back up WR’s). We have two more RB’s that are explosive and can take it to the house and both of them are youngsters. We also had a great JV team and they worked their butts of this off season and it’s paying off. Defensively we returned about 7 or 8 starters as well.

None of this guarantees anything other than we will be true contenders this year.
