May end up going to this game. South Pointe vs. Northwestern isn't until Saturday @ 7 pm. Be a good time to check out the Bearcats and check out some H.S. Football.
Anybody going?

I know you are from South Pointe but what do you think about this game. What does Rock Hill have coming back and also who do you think will win the city championship this year I know you are goin to say South Pointe but do you think it will come down to a showdown between South Pointe and Rock Hill with Northwestern getting beat by both

Don't sleep on Northwestern not the same team or culture it was the last few years. Things are changing, bigger and faster and definitely ready to start the climb back to the top. Northwestern don't stay down long.

I hadn't seen RH until last night racincowboy. I will just answer the question with my assessment from last nights performance. Simply put: "they are going to miss Nari Gaither and the other RB greatly"! QB could be good; but you can tell he knows he won't get a lot of time to get the ball off. They were trying to run it on obvious passing downs to offset the lack of pass blocking. When he did get time seemed like he rushed passes b/c he was probably shocked he got time. They have some good players but it didn't look like it last night. Sumter should have won this game by at least 4 TD's; but kept turning the ball over! RH was inept to the point they couldn't take advantage of great field position on multiple occasions or Sumter's defense is all world! Sumter has a good defense and they will win some games. I like their QB a lot and will try and keep tabs on him(Vasquez).

I still cannot get over those 8 turnovers. Sumter gave Rock Hill every chance to win that game. Although Rock Hill returns 9 defensive starters and they stuffed our run pretty good for the most part (we didn’t block worth a cuss either), we made them look way better than what they were. That was as bad as I’ve seen the offense play in years. Sumter’s defense looked way better than I thought they would.
Hayden Vasquez is a junior who saw plenty of time last year as a sophomore. First true QB for Sumter since James Barnes who graduated in 2014 and walked on at Clemson. Probably a low major QB prospect who should pick up some offers this season. I’m sure he’ll clean up some of his decision making as he gets more experience.
I think Rock Hill will be fine after a couple of games. Should be a much better team once region play starts. Defense will probably have to carry the team until the offense starts clicking.
