Apparently Penquin and BEF were stirring the pot too much this week with Battery Creek folks and a rumble was to take place at the game so the game was cancelled until further notice!!!
This is what happens when one rival (Beaufort), annually, drags the other rival (Possum Hole), up and down the field. Back to the days of 4 division football in SC, Beaufort lobbied the local school board to not have to play that worthless team. Beaufort was willing to forego a big gate game with no travel, for a game against someone who would challenge their skill level. Possum Hole cannot beat Whale Branch, a school with less than 500 students. They have no business on the same field with teams like Beaufort. With the current national appetite for mass shootings to settle inabilities and inadequacies, this was probably a prudent decision. Given the inability of local law enforcement to solve even the simplest of crimes, this also seems prudent. Forget possum hole, move on to a real game against a real opponent.
The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!

Care to fill us in boys?
Ha Ha Newcat. I hated that this game between My Beaufort Eagles and Battery Creek was postponed. I was really looking forward to this game. But I completely understood why they postponed it. From what I heard it was canceled because of a threat of violence at the game or near the Stadium. I hope that they catch whoever made the threat. This World is a crazy place now with the threat of violence and guns. I hope that they install metal detecters at every sporting event now. That way people can feel safe and not worry too much about any gun violence happening at a game. We should enjoy ourselves at a sporting event. Hopefully they will be able to reschedule this game later on in the season. Beaufort has only 4 home games scheduled this season. So hopefully this Home Game won't be canceled.
On a side note I did see some Football as I watched White Knoll play at Colleton County. Since I live in the Walterboro area this game was close to my house. White Knoll looked really good in the 56-21 win over the Cougars.
