They are. Saw them in pre-season and they really struggle running the football. Going to take that new coach a while to re-establish a proper culture there. NW will get better, but still not sure that a return to the glory days is in the future.

That was some awful football. Northwestern need a quarterback for one and an offensive line. Need more than one running play. The offense is killing the defense. Watched basically two defensive players quit on the field from frustration due to the offense. Going to be another long year with their murders row schedule.

By far the worse Northwestern team I have ever seen.
It was really bad and could have been much worse.
I still have no idea if Byrnes is good or if we have played 2 bad teams

NW is struggling for sure.

Byrnes appears to only have 30 something players?? Did they not bring them all to D3?

the players they do have are good, especially the RB Harris I think it is, but why so few players this year for Byrnes?

The 8 quarter rule change by the SCHSL changed all that. Byrnes would rather dress a good amount of kids on Thursday and let them develop, rather than dressing them on just Friday and they end up standing on the sideline the entire game. Byrnes still has a lot of players, just doesn't dress them all on Friday night like they used to.
