Unless any of these games were region games, there is no reason for there to be added games or an extra week at the end of the season. Just move on to the next week.

I disagree. If the teams are local rivals they can represent a large portion of the school's gate and concessions revenue for the year. Home games against Wilson, Darlington, Hartsville and Lake City would bring more revenue to SF than 4 of our 5 region opponents.

I can see your point, but I doubt the SCHSL will view it that way. I'm not sure of all the logistics that are involved on their end for pushing back the season back, but I don't think it's something they'll want to have to fool with unless absolutely necessary (as it was in the past). The coaches quoted in the article posted above seem to be rather indifferent on the matter.
