Valdosta beat Beaufort 44-7 this past Friday Night. Valdosta is a very good team. The Wildcats improve to 5-0 on the season. Beaufort drops to 0-3 on the season.

I was not able to go to this game. This was only my 5th Beaufort Football Game missed ever in my life. I was able to watch the game online though. Beaufort's offense moved the ball pretty well in this game. The Eagles offense had over 300 yards in this game with 250 of it thru the air. The Eagles defense gave up over 400 total yards to the Wildcats but they were able to get 2 interceptions and a couple of sacks in this game. Even though Beaufort lost this game I was very impressed with them not giving up and moving the ball against the Valdosta defense. I think these tough games will really help Beaufort by the time that the Region Games start.

Beaufort's Offense did not turn the ball over in this game. So I was really glad to see that. Beaufort Soph. QB Tyler Haley had a great game with 250 yards passing and 1 td. His Brother Matthew Haley had a great game with 10 catches for 130 yards receiving and 1 TD.

Beaufort is finally home for their next game against Blythewood. This will be Beaufort's 1st home game of the 2019 season. :o. Hopefully they will get their 1st win of the season.

GO BEAUFORT EAGLES!!!!

Ain't happening this week. If they ever decide to play the possum hole game, they might get a win. I see a big O-Fer coming around the bend. Losing our Head Coach was devastating. Not hiring a real Head Coach was the final nail in the coffin.

Yeah guys, it really makes no sense to beat a dead horse, but when you decide that the path forward for your football program is to hire the most convenient guy instead of the most qualified guy, win less seasons are the result. It was plain to see that Devonte Holloman was completely lost after his sister's death last season. His departure was almost a foregone conclusion if you you know what to look for. I am happy that he is back with his family and may now find some peace with that situation. As for Beaufort High, we are back to being at the point of where the football team is more of a bother than of pride.

Hopefully things can get turned around, but I honestly don't see how they possibly can with the current Principal, Athletic Director, and Head Football coach. The BCSB now has exactly what they have always wanted, a whole bunch of very bad football teams that can compete with one another for mediocrity.

Hey Penguin. I sure hope that you are wrong. I think these tough games will help Beaufort in the Region. I think that our Eagles can compete well with Bluffton, Colleton County and Hilton Head. Do you like these games against the tough competition? I hated that Coach Holloman left Beaufort after only 1 season being the Head Coach. But I can understand why he left. But I do feel bad for the players as this is the 3rd different coach that they have had in 3 seasons. It is still too early to tell but I do hope that Coach Lybrand will have a great career at Beaufort. Penguin are you going to the game this Friday?

Lybrand has as much business being head coach as lord marmalade has being president. These kids have been dealt a really bad hand. But that isn't going to help them win games. It is time to be honest and admit that Beaufort is not a very good football team, and we are less talented than anyone left on our schedule. I am not saying that we won't slip up and win a game, may be 2, but this experiment didn't work. My heart goes out to all of these players and their parents who deserve so much better than what is being offered. I am going to be in Myrtle Beach next weekend, and I have the flu this week. Just got some meds from my doctor today. I just can't see a way forward for this team. A winless season is the most likely outcome. Our school board has what it wanted and I see no way of changing it.

I really do feel bad for the kids. They were really liking Coach Holloman and then he deserted them after only 1 year. The Players were really sad about this. I do hope that Coach Lybrand does well at Beaufort. I do love his offense. If they can get the run game going along with the passing then this Beaufort team can be dangerous. I still say if he stays healthy Beaufort QB Tyler Haley will be one of the best to play that position for the Eagles. Haley is only in 10th Grade and he is a Lefty. I hope that you feel better Penguin and will be able to make the Bluffton game in a few weeks. That game will be HUGE.

I like Lybrand as OC, but hot as head coach. Holloman was a guy that players could easily relate to. He had their attention. I just can't see how such limited talent can overcome the complexities of today's game. I posted this on another thread, and I find it true: Love him, or hate him, Tom Knotts has raised the level of competition in this state. And in doing so, he has also brought to the forefront, the absence of quality head coaches in this state. That what has passed off as success in decades past, is now shown to be nothing more than mediocrity. There are only a handful of top flight head coaches in South Carolina, and likewise, only a handful of competitive teams. In order to be on par with the Dutch Forks of this era, the coaching is going to have to improve drastically.
