While their offense needs work they can hang their hats on knowing their defense played better against Byrnes than Gaffney did.

Good job fellas, keep working hard.

Wando 4k students had that same problem last year no jv.Deputy wrote:Stupid post on its face. Just a shot at Gaffney. Respect the Riverside kids for the effort, but Riverside football is in a terrible situation. From what I have been told, they have no JV, or C team. Which is shocking considering they are a 5A school. Getting to the point that not many want to even play at Riverside anymore because the program has fallen to the point where they cant beat anyone on their schedule. Much less a game in Region 2. I would imagine the biggest difficulty in Shaw's game planning last week was trying to limit the score. If they were so inclined they could have hung 80-90 on them.
Unfortunately, you see this, even at the 5A level in some places because of the SCHSL banning the 8 qtr rule. Coaches now often feel compelled to put 10th graders on varsity in case of injury issues even though they probably wont play. Causes more problems at the lower level. Still, an oddity for a 5A program to have neither a JV, or a C team.Fortfor5 wrote:Wando 4k students had that same problem last year no jv.Deputy wrote:Stupid post on its face.
