Beaufort beat Bluffton in a key Region 7 4A Region Game this past Friday Night 10/11/19. Even though the Game started very sloppy at first it turned out to be a pretty good game. Bluffton led 12-7 at the half and Beaufort led 14-12 after the 3rd Quarter but the Eagles exploded for 3 TDS in the 4th Quarter.

I thought Beaufort Backup QB Daniel Phares who played this whole game had a great night leading the Beaufort Offense. Beaufort's starting QB Tyler Haley was injured in the Effingham County Game and did not play this week. I am not sure how long Haley will be out. I wish him a speedy recovery. Phares had a great night with 2 rushing TDS and 1 Passing TD on the night.

Beaufort's Defense played the best that I have seen them play so far this season. They put the pressure on Bluffton QB Lee Kirkland and really kept him in check for most of the night. Beaufort's DB'S did a pretty good job limiting the amount of catches that the Bobcat WR'S had. But Bluffton did help Beaufort out by their receivers dropped about 12 passes that should have been caught.

Beaufort won despite having a lot of penalties and fumbling the ball on 3 onside kicks by Bluffton and also fumbling a punt. The Eagles need to work on limiting the costly penalties and also getting some players that can catch kickoffs and punts. I also wondered why Beaufort did not try and block the Bluffton FieldGoal tries. The Eagles need to try and block the FG'S next game.

I was so happy to see the HUGE CROWD at this game. This was the biggest crowd that I have seen at Beaufort in awhile. It was Homecoming for Beaufort. Beaufort seems to always find a way to win on Homecoming.

This was a big win for Beaufort as they improve to 1-5 Overall but more Importantly 1-0 in Region 7 4A. The Eagles have a great chance to win the Region Title this season. Next up for Beaufort is their last Non-Region game of the season against Undefeated May River next Friday Night and then they finish the season with 2 HUGE REGION 7 4A Games against Hilton Head and Colleton County. So even though The Eagles started the season 0-5 with a killer schedule they have a really good shot at being Region Champs. We shall see.

I want to say a BIG CONGRATS to Beaufort Head Football Coach Bryce Lybrand on winning his 1st game as a Head Football Coach. I am so happy for him. I wish him many more wins at Beaufort.

I have been celebrating this Big Win by Beaufort all Weekend!!!! . I also celebrated My USC Gamecocks Big Win over Georgia this weekend. What is so cool is that both Beaufort and South Carolina both got the upset wins with backup QB'S playing for them. Isn't that neat????

USuCk is using their first team QB. The weiner and his gold-diiger daddy are currently searching for a soft place to land and another school to fleece. Carolina ended that charade for you.

Congrats to the Eagles. Even a broken clock is right twice per day. Looking at the Bluffton schedule and the results, I find very little to be excited about other than some bragging rights. Looking at this Region, I hang my head in shame. This Region is just plain aweful.

Hey Penguin. Actually since the start of the season The Gamecocks had their 3rd string Qb in Dakereon Joyner who finished the game against Georgia. Bentley was the starter to start the season, Ryan Hilinski was the 2nd string QB and Joyner was the 3rd string QB. Penguin how about the Gamecocks win over #3 Georgia in between the Hedges? . That was A BIG WIN for the Gamecocks!!!!

As for Beaufort any time that they beat Archrival Bluffton it is a great win. Both Beaufort and Bluffton have played very tough schedules this year with Beaufort's Schedule one of the toughest. Bluffton had 1 cupcake in Hanahan but Beaufort hadn't played a cupcake yet before this game. I really think that Beaufort's tough schedule will help them win the Region this year and maybe do well in the playoffs. We shall see. Penguin are you going to make a game this season???

Hopefully this win over Bluffton will kickstart the rest of the season for Beaufort. It was a good win. I forgot to mention that Beaufort DL Eamon Smalls had a big game for Beaufort on defense. Smalls is a monster at 6'4 300 LBS and he is only in 9th grade. . He is already being looked at by Major Colleges. Smalls has had a great season so far for the Eagles. Beaufort is a pretty young team this year and should be even better next season. I can't wait to see how Eamon Smalls does in his career at Beaufort.

I could go this Friday, but I don't have wheels as Rhonda has to work. Next Friday we are going back to Myrtle Beach for the weekend, and the last week I am stuck at home again.

Penguin I was hoping that you would be able to make a game this season. I would offer to pick you up but I am usually running late because of work and usually get to the game at kickoff or barely after. I could give you a ride home if Rhonda can take you to the game. Just let me know. Hopefully Beaufort can put on a good showing against May River this week.
