The rules violation involving a Charleston area school

Post by Damefan »

Jim Baxter just posted on his twitter page that a rules violation involving a Charleston area school DID happen. It is being looked into by the SCHSL and a decision will be made on it. He further states that it is Interesting that circumstances surrounding this violation and it's correlation to what he has been discussing about the need for 8-quarter rule. I don't know what school he is talking about but it will be interesting!!

Another poster did post that this would be second violation since August for this program.

If the other violation is already in the books, wonder why it's so secretive. How does one go about viewing "official violations"?

This has probably angered Jim Baxter. He LOVES charter schools, especially the ones that brag about how little time kids spend in class.

Probably why he didn't mention the school by name. He's pretty ignorant if he doesn't see the issues with these schools.

The issue here isn’t the charter school issue, even though that is a problem in itself. The problem is the lack of an 6 or 8 quarter rule. It’s a masquerade and scam to say the reason we don’t have it anymore is safety. What about the inferior team that is getting pummeled play after play, how is safe to keep them on the field with the other teams’s best when there are no subs? Every, and I mean every level of high school football needs some sort of rule so that jv players have the opportunity to dress for a varsity game. If that means there is a cap set for 4a and 5a so be it, but the smaller ranks are suffering by canceling jv seasons which hinder proper development and retention rates, in other words it’s difficult and almost impossible to build a program you are forced to live year to year. The high school league needs to take the politics out of this issue (8 quarter rule) and provide a responsible compromise.
