Hartsville is coming in to this game with a record of 8-3. The Red Foxes are avg. 30 points a game and giving up 18 points a game. Hartsville is coming off a 28-16 win over South Aiken last week. The Red Foxes have a record of 3-2 in away games so far this season.

Beaufort is coming in to this game with a record of 4-5. The Eagles are avg. 24 points a game and giving up 34 points a game. Beaufort had a bye last week but beat Colleton County 31-21 in their last game 2 weeks ago. The Eagles have a record of 2-1 in Home games so far this season.

This is a BIG 4A 2nd Rd. Playoff Game. Both teams are coming in to this game Red Hot. Hartsville has won their last 5 games in a row and Beaufort has won their last 4 games in a row. This will only be the 2nd meeting between these 2 teams. Hartsville beat Beaufort in the playoffs 7-6 way back in 1983.

I am so excited about this game. It looks like Beaufort is a big underdog in this game. I love Beaufort being the Underdogs. Beaufort beat previously Undefeated May River at Home earlier this season as a Big Underdog. Doodles has Hartsville favored by 15 points over Beaufort, Massey has Hartsville winning 35-14.

Beaufort usually plays very well at Home. Kickoff for this game is this Friday Night November 15th at 7:30 PM in Beautiful Beaufort Eagles Stadium known as The Eagles Nest. I hope to see the Stadium packed on both sides.

What do y'all think about this game? Will Hartsville win Big? Will Beaufort pull off the upset? I will give my prediction later on in the week. :D ;) 8-).

Abbeville played Hartsville earlier this season and had no problem. I'm sure the offense has improved since that game. They definitely have a lot of talent and size

Should be a decent game. Thought Hartsville was pretty pedestrian when we played them, but they did make some good halftime adjustments on D. They seem to be pretty inconsistent on offense this season. This one may come down to who wins the field position battle.

A rematch 36 years in the making. In 1983 The Hartsville Red Foxes traveled to Beaufort and defeated Zeke Gadson and the best Beaufort High football team in the last 50 years by a score of 7 to 6. Beaufort was a huge favorite in that game. This time around, Hartsville is the odds on favorite. Not sure that the Eagles have enough to pull this one off. Hopefully it is a good game and that the better team wins. Weather is supposed to be cool, but dry. I really want to be the optimist and say that Beaufort will win. Too early for my prediction.

I made the trip to A town when we played there.Abbeville has to be top 3 in state in all division .Those kids play hard and physical I love it.The Foxes have gotten better just trying to survive and advance. We aren't good enough to overlook anyone.

Update on the weather forecast: Low near 50 with a 70% chance of rain and the wind will be blowing 15 MPH out of the north.

This forecast should benefit Beaufort's running game and slow down the speed advantage of the Foxes. This kind of weather can be used to one's advantage, or allow teenagers to get down on themselves. This also should negate the home field advantage by reducing the crowd size.

Neither team has had to play on a cold, wet, windy, day. I don't like the Eagles not having to play last week, and like even less that they have won 4 in a row. It is hard to get the attention of kids when they are winning. I see coaching as being the biggest difference in this game, and give Hartsville head coach Jeff Calabrese a huge advantage.

It is still Wednesday, but my pick right now is: ( subject to change)
5 o'clock on Friday afternoon. Cold, damp, and windy, but no rain until after 11. After seeing May River drag undefeated Aynor up and down their home field last night, and remembering that Beaufort beat May River, I am going to change my mind on this one. My final, best prognostication is:

Hartsville-28
Beaufort-35

Thanks AHS14!!!! I know that Hartsville usually has a really good team but I have heard that they are not as strong as in years past.
