I think you are on the right path, but Irmo and Chapin may move up to 5A once the students at Spring Hill are allocated.

I just noticed that you have Byrnes in a different region from Dorman and Gaffney.

Oh, the humanity!!

Good job sc7777(godfather), as with any attempt at this point. Will likely need some adjustments. So would mine.

This is similar to what SF Band dad and I were discussing.

Spring Hill students are Lexington District 05 and they have 856 Students in Grades 9-11.
I "think" they will be added to these 3 schools.

Dutch Fork 1296 + ?? =
Chapin 1166 + ?? =
Irmo 981 + ?? =

Irmo will have to gain over 200 students to get into 5A.
Chapin will only have to gain around 120 to get into 5A.
Dutch Fork already has 5A numbers.

*Note there are other schools around the state that will have students added to their counts.

Hopefully the adjusted numbers will be out in the next couple weeks.

That's some decently long bus rides for Abbeville and Dixie, but I'll concede that those first two regions are tough to draw. Abbeville was in a upstate region like that one for a good while back in the 2000s (with Crescent, Liberty, Pendleton, West Oak who are now all 3A teams). Also don't know if they'll try to put Dixie in 2A again like they did last realignment (Dixie appealed and won to stay in 1A). Regions 3-6 are spot on, don't see how you could make any of those better. I hope 2A won't have to deal with Gray and Oceanside but we shall see.

Darlington and Hartsville are other examples. Darlington gets kids from Mayo and Hartsville gets some kids from Governor's School for athletics.

Thinking this is spot on. Challenging for Winter and Spring sporting programs but still the most logical and thought out that has been presented. Thus it is way to practical for the whole for the determining body to approve.

Byrnes would love it. Region 3 in 5A is stacked and region 3 in 3A is stacked.

I know I am not sharp and may be blind, but where is CRESCENT?

I know they lost a JV team and ran off the winningest coach in history- but did they close the school?

Makes a lot if sense. Probably too much sense. Which is exactly why it won't even be close to what falls out of the genius minds at the SCHSL
