2020 BLITZ BORDER BOWL

The 2020 Blitz Border Bowl All-Star Football Game between the South Carolina Lowcountry and the Georgia Coastal Empire will be held this Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Savannah, GA. Kickoff will be at 12:30 PM. This game will pit the best Seniors from The SC Lowcountry and the Georgia Coastal Empire. I am so excited about seeing some more Football!!!! Congrats to all the players that made this game but I am especially proud of the 3 Beaufort players that were picked to play in this game. Beaufort Head Football Coach Bryce Lybrand will be one of the assistants in this game. Whale Branch Head Football Coach Jerry Hatcher will be the Head Coach for the SC Lowcountry Team.

This is the 3rd Annual Blitz Border Bowl. Georgia won the 1st game 15-3 and South Carolina won last year in a thrilling 35-34 comeback win. All the proceeds from this game go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities which gives the parents of sick kids in a hospital a place to stay while their child is being taken care of.

I hope to see a huge crowd at this game. Memorial Stadium in Savannah is a really nice facility. If you can't make this game it will be televised live on WSAV TV out of Savannah or you can watch at wsav.com/livestream.

WHAT A DUMB-ASS GAME, BEF, IT SHOULD BE CALLED THE LOSER BOWL

Slick, This is a pretty cool all star game. It is for bragging rights between the states of Georgia and SC. The players from both sides take the game pretty seriously and there is a ton of smack talk. This game will hopefully continue to grow like the Shrine Bowl. The Blitz Border Bowl helps with Sick Kids and their families just like the Shrine Bowl does. Also there is usually a ton of college coaches at this game. So the players have something to play for and show what they can do in front of the college coaches.
