Someone explain to me this

How does someone with a better resume, more region titles, a state title in SCs highest classification, and a 4-1 record against the person you're interviewing against STILL NOT GET THE JOB? Talking about Chris Liner being selected over Greg Porter. I've been thinking about this the entire weekend and can't come up with anything. Maybe some of you people that play golf with the higher ups in Greenwood can feel me in? I'm not rich enough to be able to chat with them apparently.

I can't even think of a BS reason why. Like, Greenwood must not want to be the best. Are we just content with trying to be good or something?

It's not what you know, it's who you know.

Maybe they think that Porter would not stay at Greenwood.
the main reason i would think is that they know and are friends
with coach Liner.just my opinion.

They didn't offer Greg Porter. A few in the district wanted him, but in the end, Sparky Hudson got his choice.

Friend of mine was going to be hired for a job. They asked him if he would move into the community. He lived about 15 miles away and told them no. They hired someone else.

Could be a number of factors

I know him personally. He was frustrated.

Similar to what you said in a another post 93, why go through all the processes if they were going to give it to liner anyway? Should have just gave it to him from the beginning. Smoke and mirrors for no reason. Not to say I don't like Liner because I do. Anyone that knows liner likes him. That's not the point. The point is to do what's best for the program. I'm not so sure we did that. I'll always cheer for Greenwood and actually hope Liner proves me wrong. But to me Porter would have been the better choice. The numbers back this up. I feel as I know what the real reason is but my post will get deleted so I'll leave at that. Just my 2. GO EAGLES
