Hodge built a machine at Chapman. I was able to see it first hand the years Newberry played them. The 2 games in 2016 are still my 2 favorite high school games I have ever seen. It will be fun to watch and see what he does at Spartanburg.

Mark Hodge is a proven winner. I wonder as a Dorman fan just how worried I should be about this. I don’t want the Spartanburg program to get rejuvenated and start beating our butts again! Seriously though, 5A is a different animal than 3A. And Spartan High is a different animal than Chapman-a different type school with different type culture. So it’s will be interesting to see how quickly Hodge can adjust and if/how fast he can turn a Viking program that has a long way to go around again. I’m confident he will make SHS better than they are now, just not sure how much better yet.

I think he will have a winning record his 1st year and maybe make the playoffs but if he doesn't I wouldn't be surprised either
