Coach craig will leave a lasting legacy at timberland,he changed the culture built a AA power in small rural Berkeley county.. when you played between the pines, you knew were in for a long night... 14 region titles, two state titles!!

Adam Hastings
Head Coach

Coach Adam Hastings is a 2005 graduate of The Citadel where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, Secondary Social Sciences and was a three year letterman on the Bulldogs football team. In 2005 he received the prestigious Gold Star award for having a GPA over 3.7.

Coach Hastings started his coaching career in 2005 at East Burke High School in Icard, North Carolina. There he was offensive line coach and strength and conditioninig coach. In 2007 he became the offensive coordinator and line coach at Ardrey Kell High School. The following year he moved to Providence Day School and took on the same coaching responsibilities for the Chargers. In 2010 he returned to Ardrey Kell, this time to become their head football coach and stayed there until his recent move back to Providence Day. While head football coach at Ardrey Kell, Hastings was named the Southwestern 4A Coach of the Year in 2010, the Marine Semper Fi Coach of the Year for North and South Carolina in 2011, and a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski High School Coach of the Year in 2014.


Jeff Cruce
Offensive Coordinator

Coach Cruce, originally from Lake City, FL, received his B.S. degree in Industrial Education from Clemson University in 1985 and his M.A. degree in Guidance from Clemson University in 1987. He has spent the last 29 years teaching and coaching in the South Carolina Public school system from which he recently retired.

Prior to joining Providence Day in 2016, Coach Cruce served as Athletic Director, Head Football and assistant coach in Berkeley County, SC since 1991. He was also Head Football coach and Athletic Director in Wade Hampton SC for 3 years and assistant coach at Suwannee high school in Live Oak Florida for 1 year. He started his coaching career at Clemson University as a Graduate Assistant 1985-87. Coach Cruce is a veteran coach of 31 years.

Coach Cruce played for Clemson University 1980-84 which he lettered three years. He was part of Clemson's 1981 National Championship team and earned All ACC Academic honors in 1984. He won Lineman of the week honors against Duke in 1984. At the completion of his playing career he signed Free agent with the Denver Broncos in 1985.
