The Run to the Sun Car Show, one of the largest in the Southeast, brings thousands of classic cars to Myrtle Beach for a weekend-long event. The Pee Dee Street Rodders host the event, now in its 32nd year.
The show includes thousands of pre-1989 cars and trucks. Last year’s winning car and truck were a 1957 Dodge Coronet and a 1966 F100 Ford.
In addition to bringing classic-car enthusiasts from around the country together, the show raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Pee Dee Street Rodders have donated more than $1.8 million to charities since its founding in 1987.
The show runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the old Myrtle Square Mall.
