I understand the athlete's mentality and their concerns about injuries and Covid-19. From the Universities standpoint, do they continue to honor their scholarship offers for athletes willing to spend over 18 months away from the game? What happens to these athletes bodies during that time frame? Typically some of the most indicative years for growth and maturation.

This is quite different from a 22 year old athlete sitting out a bowl game to prepare for the NFL. It is my opinion, (nothing more than that) that these young men should be doing everything possible to deal with their changes in body size and make up, doing everything to further learn their trade and hone their skills, and provide further film for their new coaches to study and evaluate them by. All designed to make the transition to major college football more seamless, and allow coaches more information to use to determine suitable positions, and areas from which to hone in on for maximum efficiency within their programs.

My 2 cents.......

Some of the high profile recruits, like Stewart, are making this choice because they have no fall season to play. Many in the Charlotte area have been shut down as they moved football to the spring. Your higher profile recruit, is probably done because almost all are early enrollees these days. For others still waging the recruiting war, many are considering transferring to an SC school. So as far as Charlotte area is considered, one would imagine that recruiting season is open for the York County high schools.
