scrimmages at different schools in our area for
55 years and have never had to pay.

Greenwood has been charging for a few years now. Today I felt I got my money's worth though. They're usually a great deal shorter and less energetic than I saw today.

I was going to watch Gilbert at Newberry last Saturday morning, but I decided not to. They were charging $2 if you bought a ticket in advance and $3 at the gate. If it wouldn't have been raining I would have been there.

Paying to watch one Friday. I don’t think it’s common, but in 2020 when schools may only get 3 home games and some of the rediculous precautions being implemented to play, which all cost money, the schools need to charge for scrimmages.

As for the Trojans and York scrimmage it was a way to make revenue and control the attendance requirements set by the state.
