I was already going to say that PI already has co-ed boot camp. Maybe not at the level desired, but they do already have a Company that does that. I won't say that it won't happen, given the fact that Lord Marmalade is still in charge, but anyone with more brains than a broken hammer would have a hard time justifying such a drastic move. Hopefully we won't have to worry about this kind of nonsense come November 4th.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this one is not on Trump. This one belongs to Senator Kirsten Gillabrand, D, New York. She is the one who has been pushing for this for the past few years. The Commandant's proposal, based on input from multiple General Officers, Colonels, and top enlisted leaders with Recruit Training experience, says that working on two older facilities to bring them both up to the level of changes required to implement the mandate from the Senate Armed Forces Committee, DACOWITS, and others would cost more than making a new Recruit Training Facility from the ground up. So now they have to decide if having two identical facilities; is the ideal way to proceed.

Think of it this way, the money will be spent to either retrofit two different bases, or build a brand new base centrally located in the continental USA, most likely somewhere like the Navy's Training Center north of Chicago. Then the next issue, do you really need two Commanding Generals and all the support staff, two Recruit Training Regiments to include all the facilities that support the regiment.. chow hall, medical, dental, headquarters and support battalions, etc.

I think the impact on San Diego will be much less than the impact on Beaufort. I can remember how many folks were either active duty, dependents, or retirees and their dependents in the community when I was there.

This became law in December of 2019 WITH the signing of the legislation by LORD MARMALADE. His baby.

Yeah, them facts that have nothing but an opinion to support them. December 2019.........LORD MARMALADE. His signature. Now that is what a fact looks like.

The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 (S. 1790; NDAA 2020, Pub.L. 116-92) is a United States federal law which specifies the budget, expenditures and policies of the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) for fiscal year 2020. Analogous NDAAs have been passed in previous and subsequent years.[1] The NAA passed the House by a vote of 377–48 and the Senate by a vote of 86–8 and became effective on December 20, 2019 when it was signed into law by President Donald Trump.[2]

The bill amounted to $738 billion allocations to the United States military.

Of course the facts do get in the way of fake news, false narratives, and reich wing propaganda. But that is exactly what Lord Marmalade has done for this country.........make it where otherwise intelligent people cannot discern fact from fiction.

Rep. Jackie Speier, a California Democrat and chair of the House Armed Services Military Personnel subcommittee, proposed the amendment on Wednesday, which would prohibit gender-segregated training at the Marine Corps recruit depots. Full story below....

{ mea culpa, I listed it as Senator Gillabrand, D, New York. She is the Senator pushing to punish any man who is "accused" of anything closely related to sexual harassment, with or without substantiation. It was actually Jackie Speier. However, IF you read the story, this is the person/group pushing for the COED Boot Camp. Anyone who knows basic civics knows that the President signs the bill into a law; however, it is Congress who is responsible for what is IN the law. By adding it to the Defense Authorization Act, the bill that keeps the military funded, they basically ensure that the president has to sign it.}

Quite a difference between proposing something and voting for it or signing it into law.

And I never even mentioned that this Bill had to clear the Armed Services Committee, chaired by John Cornyn (republiKKKan) from Texas

Hey Rebel-Fan-74. I really hope that they never close Parris Island. It would affect many people and the businesses that count on the Military and Graduations. Beaufort would probably become a Ghost Town if Parris Island ever closes. I hope and pray that this never happens.
