We did seem to have much more difficulty hanging onto the ball than Stratford. Both coaches wanted to get this scrimmage in so they can focus on region games next week. With the new format, it is all about region play. Thankfully no one for Summerville was injured. Wishing for a speedy recovery for Stratfords #5. I think both teams will win their fair share of games this year...

IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE THAT THAN YOU ARE A FRIGGING LOSER CAUSE IF ITS PLAYING MARBLES OR UNO, WINNING IS ALL THAT MATTERS, BUT WITH THE BIG BROTHER, FORT SACKING YALL, THATS ALL YOU CAN SAY.

it is a fact. 3-0 or 0-3 in non-region games makes no difference for playoff seeding. Would I rather we won, why certainly. But in the end, we need to improve each week to prepare ourselves for the region games which begin next week against Stall. Just happy that the season is finally here. Now your game Monday night against the Gators is a huge region game. Good luck....

No dog in this fight, but Sadfort appeared to be light years ahead of SV last night. Joe Call must have seen the handwriting on the wall. SV will have to make very drastic improvements to finish above last in their Region. Having a new head coach usually goes one of two ways - super good when the players are willing to buy in, or super bad when the players are reluctant to accept the changes in philosophy and structure of the program. Last night, I saw players for SV who did not look like they were all on the same page. I also saw very questionable play calling considering the talent level of the playmakers. SV would appear to have better run blocking and ball carriers, than receivers. Yet on every important play, they resorted to passing the ball to players who were not able to make a play. I am not trying to point fingers at anyone, just making the point that SV may have better success running than throwing. As their receivers gain confidence, this may change. The QB looks more than capable of making the throws, but he cannot throw the ball and catch it too. Sadfort, on the other hand, looks to have playmakers everywhere, even on defense. Beating them will be a tough task. Watch out Slicker, those boys looked very good last night on a sloppy field.
It was great to be able to see some football again. I love seeing these kids at this age. You can just pick out the ones that you will hear about at the next level, and beyond. The young man who was injured late in the game, and their linebacker, both of those boys have a future in football. Hope he wasn't hurt too bad and gets back on the field soon. Good luck to both teams. I am smiling again. That football grin!

How about it Penguin! Summerville will be fine. We will defeat Stall next week to put the "finish last" comment to rest. We definitely had more trouble dealing with the rain than Stratford did. The playcalling was questionable at the end of the first half allowing the Knights to score just before the half. Our QB to receiver connection, especially deep, needs work to get their timing down. Our RBs look good but have to hang on to the ball. I really think Summerville will bounce back on the articial turf at CCSD's new stadium which Stall plays all their home games starting this year. Just glad HS football is back!!!

Congratulations to Stratford on the win.
#5 for Stratford was the difference maker in this game. He came up with all the plays and is a really good ball player... I hate that his season has come to an end ...but prayers for a healthy and successful recovery.
As for the Wave its really to early to make an assessment.
You have a new coaching staff that has limited time with its team .
They only had 1 scrimmage that only went 2.5 qtrs. And the best returning player the RB moved to Woodland during the summer.
Do they need work...Yes.
But last nights game came down to a fumble on the Stratford 20 with about 5 minutes left in the game going for the tie.
Time to start the conference and let's see what happens...
Go Wave..
