I see tweets from Touchdown Clubs all over the state but never from the Charleston area. Y'all got one down there?
I think these are awesome for the players to be rewarded for hard work on the field and also get to hear speakers from all over who have insight on football. Really brings a community together as well and shows support on the high school level.

We are the ones giving the insight on football. We don't need no stinkin' instigators down here. Haven't you heard, football was invented in the Lowcountry? Slick and I, both, take re imbursment in the form of boiled peanuts as well. If you are interested, we can hook you up with our agent.

Touchdown Clubs are cool and if you haven't ever been to one, you need to try it out just once. Orangeburg has an active one. So does Greenwood and Laurens. Greenville used to.
Laurens is pretty interesting because they represent two high schools, a private school and Presbyterian College. Lots of interaction between all coaches and teams and a lot of respect among the players from different schools for each other. Orangeburg is similar with SC State and the other high schools. SCISA, public and college level all in the same room.
The speakers can range anywhere from past players to ACC officials to NFL. It's great to see a community come out and support the kids. The kids get to hear stories of glory days and learn what goes on at the next level.
