Boiling Springs 27 Greenwood 24 Final

Post by GwoodEagle2k1 »

Thoughts? I see BS gave Gaffney a competitive game. They may be the best Greenwood has seen so far. This is an important non region game in my opinion to see how we stack up against really good opponents. I expect BS to be big and physical. I think this will definitely be a tough test.

Yea they gave us a really good game but I think they had a couple of turnovers that hurt them in the 2nd half. They are big and pretty physical from what i can remember

The Springs is very sound... QB Dodd is mobile and has a good arm, two good running backs, good defensive play and the X Factor.. Caden Sullivan, Safety/WR/Return Man, App State Commit who I expect to get some bigger offers. I'll be there for the game, my daughter is a varsity cheerleader for the Dawgs. That's if we ever get the ticket info for Visiting fans. We haven't gotten any info on that yet.

Since your daughter is a participant I'd assume y'all would get your tickets through BS. Here is the link for general public tickets just in a case. https://greenwoodathletics.com/event-tickets

This game should determine how we measure up to 5A schools since we got bumped down to 4A. I think Liner will have Eagles ready for this non-region showdown Friday night. Should be a good one.

I'm not sure about that as Greenwood is still a work in progress. New coach and new offense. I think next year or the following year would be a better time to make this judgement. They're definitely doing better than I thought for Liner's first year.

Looks like the Greenwood starters will be in limited action based on what Coach Liner was hinting at. Will probably be a glorified scrimmage.

Man, after seeing that Greenwood offense in the game last night against Boiling Springs JV (my son got moved up to JV last night because Greenwood doesn't have a 9th grade team)
I think what Greenwood does, neutralizes the B Springs defensive strength which is the Defensive Backs and that offense chews up the clock too.. I think it's going to come down to Greenwood's defensive backs defending the pass, and how their offensive lines moves the line of scrimmage. It just got much more interesting for me after seeing their personnel last night, that QB and those RBs.. if THEY aren't good enough to be on varsity I'm afraid to see the kids that are :o :o

He didn't say limited. He is going to try to win the game. Just want to rotate some kids in to build depth. Sort of like what Clemson and some other colleges do.
