High level trolling by Camden. Well played. As far as Johnny Deal's tweet. Byrnes is a good team, but not sure they are in the powerhouse category anymore. Think you have to go back a few years for that classification.

The word POWERHOUSE hasn't been in play for a looooooooong time. Especially this year. Way too one dimensional

Still shocking unless this was just a favorable match up for Camden. In other words, they have a really awesome run defense with the right personnel and JFB really only likes to run it.

How did Camden score? I heard they were good on defense - haven't heard about their offensive capabilities.

Despite what a lot of people believe, High School Football will always go in cycles. Players aren't "made", they are born, and they aren't always born in the same school district.

I watched the live stream of the North Central game last night. They have a couple of those "born" players on that team. They are extremely good. Coaching can help, no doubt, but football will always be more about the Jimmies and the Joes than about the exes and the ohhs.

I give the Rebels credit for creating a winning atmosphere in Duncan. That always helps, but along with that, comes expectations. That is what gets coaches fired. To build a program that competes for a Championship every year, rules have to be bent, and a coach must make decisions that more often than not, veer into the grey areas of black and white.

We all are aware of what went down at Summerville over the years. What is going on in Irmo these days, probably won't pass muster when closely examined. The advent of these football academies around the state, does not promote fair and equal competition, and will eventually turn South Carolina into Florida and Virginia. Great for college recruiters, sad for public High Schools. Enjoy every success that you can, while you can, because the handwriting is on the wall.

Byrnes is not a bad team. However, put 8 men in the box and stop the run game.... you don't need a great defensive mind to stop Byrnes. Dorman allowed one huge run but shut it down after they made a couple of adjustments. The Rebels are one or two players away from being a TOP FIVE team, but they are key players.... leaders. Playing two games, then off for three weeks, then two more games; I don't know how you get the team cohesion and consistency and learn each other's strengths and weaknesses when you face those problems.
