Thoughts on Summerville HS and Fort Dorchester moving forward?

Post by LongVol »

We're moving back home in a couple months and are looking at houses in both school districts. My son plays WR/S/KR/PR for his HS where we currently live. I'm hoping to find him a strong program for his last 2 years of HS. Those 2 seem to be the best balance of academics and athletics.

Any ideas on how both those programs look for the next couple years?

The Summerville head coach moved over from Ft Dorchester and this was his first year at the school even though he was a Summerville graduate.
The future looks bright for the Wave alot of players returning next year ..the one spot we need dept is WR...
In the head to head with Fort this year the Wave went for 2 and the win and didn't get it...
But the Wave Jv and B team Won....
The History in the school district is all Summerville and the stadium is taking on a big renovation this off season with turf being put in along with other upgrades...
As for Fort ...Well ...alot of waisted talent and a bunch of aluminum stands built in the middle of the swamp.. not to mention the school was annexed into the City of N.Charleston Which has a very high crime rate....
Welcome to the Area....

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that there was a new coach that was at Fort Dorchester before. I talked to Coach Call a year or two ago when we were trying to move there before. Didn't even know that he left.

I'm sure FD can't be that bad lol. Plenty of really nice neighborhoods in that district as well.

We have the best qb in the area. Im sure the kid at the vilke is a nice kid .but wave80 will have to come out of thr stands to throw the balk to your reciever.watch you tube you will see.
I live less than 2 miles from fort .i have not had any problems with crime.
3 kids through fort no problems .love the coaches .

Loosing the offensive coordinator and QB Coach to Summerville this past year
took a big toll On Forts team this past year. IT was very evident.
Fort might have the better QB in the area, but he didn't look as sharp this year .
He just didn't look comfortable in what they we're asking him to do.

Hes fine we have a new offense we are installing .noone was comfortable. Pkusvthats a big rivalry game .nerves got him a bit.
Covid put a big damper on plans.
Hes looked good most of the year.noones perfect.hes 15 has two more years .plus he was calling his own plays sometimes.
His mechanics are a lot better.
Yes we have a new oc .kids like him .he had some learning to do aswell.we will be fine.should be good for the foreseeable future. Young oline young qb .we should be a lot better next year.we were damn good this year.

Osborne is a d1 qb just young.
Raff is a good coach also.

Be safe durring the holidays.

He did sometimes this year not all the time.but yeah i was like do what . Ya know though it will only make him better.
Hes got tons of potential . Id imagine it probably was after the game was at hand .but thats between him and coaches..
