Woodruff was in good company last night!

Post by Wolverine_Legend »

Seriously! :P 8-)

My Wolverines, Chapman, Dorman, and Gaffney all lost!

Seriously though, proud of my Wolverines and congratulations and good luck to Wren. Woodruff is VERY young with 15 starters back next year and only 11 seniors on the roster. Sophomore QB, a stud junior RB waiting in the wings to take over, and their two best defensive lineman were a freshman and sophomore who are already very good. We got whipped by the Wren defense last night, though, so credit where it's due.

The only thing I will say about Wren is, they are simply not good enough on offense to compete with Daniel next week. The Wren QB, I'm sorry to say, isn't great. Against us last night he was 10-25 passing and we picked him off three times. If Wren cannot run the ball, they won't score. I believe the state championship game will feature Daniel vs Gilbert. That's my pick.
And on the eighth day, God created the Woodruff Wolverines

It’s a shame we couldn’t have played yall next week because I always like seeing new teams when it’s playoff time. Woodruff definitely overachieved this year with a young team but just wasn’t ready for a deep playoff run. I think Woodruff and Union County will be giving Chapman problems in region next season because I believe we might’ve broke them. Best of luck next season to the Wolverines.
Go Daniel Lions!!
