Kind of a weird firing. He inherited a dumpster fire at maybe the worst football school in Columbia. Then had to deal with the Covid issues that took away spring and summer for a struggling program. Got to wonder what went on here

Are you sure the coach didn't get rid of RNE?

From Richardson's comments, that didn't appear to be the case.

Great firing! Covid had nothing to do with it. I don't think he won a game in 2 seasons.

RNE is a dumpster fire. They will hire another young kid that isnt ready to be a HC, he will get no help and be stuck with has beens and never was coaches or adjuncts. Then in 2 years RNE will do it again.

I don’t agree with this at all. You cannot fully evaluate a coach if he never had a chance to fully implement his offseason program. He also never had a spring practice. RNE football needs stability and a coach that can keep the talent in the school, but that area is so tough because people really aren’t moving there. They are moving to the Blythewood and Chapin areas.
I wonder if William Richardson will come home for a few years. Wouldn’t mind him being the head coach in waiting at Sumter.
