Re: BAR-B-QUE
If you ever get to Greenville
Henry’s bbq on Wade Hampton is a must
You won’t be cheated and it’ll save you money because you won’t eat for two days.
Get it Carolina style with the mustard style sauce and cole slaw on the sandwich. Fries are something special and I’m not a fry guy. If they have the peach cobbler grab it. But honestly nothing in the place is bad.

Anyone of you upstate boys been to the metropolis of Carlisle SC? Best damn ribs I ever ate! BBQ was good too but ribs are off the hook!!!
Carlisle is on hwy 121 between Chester and Whitmire and across from the Valero gas station is a small building with a chimney!
He cooks all his food...ribs, chicken, butts and beans on a big grate over wood
!! Awesome old school cooking set-up!
Was on my way to watch Easley game couple years back and found this place. He normally only cooks Weekends but worth the drive.

Any chance you remember the name of the joint? The best food seems to come from that type of establishment.Newcatntown wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 10:02 pmAnyone of you upstate boys been to the metropolis of Carlisle SC? Best damn ribs I ever ate! BBQ was good too but ribs are off the hook!!!

Happy New Year Brother! I gotcha on the memory thing. I figured if you had remembered, you'd have said it. I googled it and I think it is possibly called Glenn's Grill & BBQ. If so, they serve alot more than bbq. That was the only bbq place I found listed there. I'm hoping I can get one of my boys to take me up there around Thursday. Maybe stay over and eat it again Friday. That way, i'll have eaten in in consecutive years.Newcatntown wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 5:58 amHappy New Year Cav......Lmao....I cant remember what I ate for supper last night

There's not much in Carlisle, SC. I searched for a gas station and then zoomed in.cavaliereagle wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 12:23 amAny chance you remember the name of the joint?
