Early Predictions for 2021 State Champs

I know, I know...way too early for predictions for State Champions for the 2021 Season but here I go. My son and I always throw these predictions around early on...None of mine will be earth shattering. I have a core group I stick with and I am going to throw them out there.

* 1A- Lamar...they're due. Always hanging around the top in 1A.

* 2A- Abbeville- Just too stout in 2A for anyone to beat them right now.

* 3A- Dillon- It's really hard to keep them away from a state title for too long, and they are hungry.

* 4A- South Pointe- Ditto...

* 5A- Dutch Fork- Fixed On Six...Fear The Fox...

Let me hear what you think.

Those are good picks but look out for Myrtle Beach in 4AAAA. We have very talented people returning on both sides of the ball very stout defense and offense is Going to be on fire. A slew of good receivers return, including Adam Randall. Playing Carolina Forest and That beast called Fort Dorchester out of Charleston will help have the Hawks ready for the playoffs. If we stay healthy should be right in the battle for it all.

You are correct..."The Dirty Myrtle" is always in the hunt....never can count them out.

All speculation but here we go

5A upper state : Northwestern
I just believe in Paige Wofford
5A lower: Dutch Fork
With a nod to Fort Dorchester until someone proves it their the pick

4A upper: Greenwood
I like their coach and they made big strides in his first year
Flora may still have enough to keep them at bay but it will be between these two
4A lower: N Myrtle Beach
Yea Myrtle beach is usually the pick but NMB turned the corner last year

3A upper : Daniel
Ok I hear the homer picks but this might be the biggest no brained outside of abbeville
Their going to be better than last year
And it wasn’t close last year
3A lower:Oceanside Collegiate
Pains me to pick them because I’m not cool with the recruiting but they were on the cusp last year and had to forfeit their playoff game . I think they will be motivated and have the qb from Summerville coming in. Plus Camden was senior heavy last year and Dillon is in their first year with a new coach.

2A upper: Abbeville
No explanation needed
2A lower : Barnwell
They seem to always be in the mix and basing it on last year’s playoffs and what they have coming back

1A upper : Southside Christian
Heads above everyone on this level
1A lower: Lake view
Never count them out and really the safe pick

Hmmm.... A rational person would say the defending state champion in 5A, with 5 consecutive state titles, and preseason top 15 in the nation would be the easiest "no-brainer" call for a prediction to repeat as state champ, especially considering everything coming back, and the Carolina GOAT HC on the sidelines. Then again, that would be "homerism" and not logic. Win a state title for the first time since "ER" was the #1 TV show in America and DWD is the easiest "no-brainer"... Six Mile logic, I reckon. Call me crazy...

I can definitely agree those lineman look like they mean business. Our defense will put on for the city it will be loud here. Hope that helps us some

Well called it
Df parrot gets riled up again because a rational person spits the truth . I think I did pick your team but your so out of your depth you pick teams because well they won before . Real in-depth . Also you have more questions than we do or Abbeville . Namely a recruited qb that you know nothing about and now you got guys jumping ship. For our classification we will just have less competition as you are fond of saying. You can’t have it both ways . As far as winning a title since whenever , well your right we were winning titles before dumb f*** was a school . And yes we will be better this year .
