Abbeville Jamboree

Post by 96fanatic »

Mccormick dominated my 96 Wildcats 22-0
the Durant kid at Mccormick is a good one.
maybe better than his brother.the Chiefs
have several good looking players.
I don't think my Wildcats will win but 2 games this year.
I hope i am wrong.

Strom Thurmond dominated Emerald 21-0

Abbeville 13 Westside 8
This one was a good match up.the QB for
Westside looked ok .i have said it before
Abbeville would beat most 3a and 4a teams.
they have the talent to do it.

Dixie 13 Calhoun Falls 0
Calhoun Falls has 14 players again this year.

I agree with you on Abbeville they have the talent to do it. Told Abbeville fans who are on this Facebook football fan page that Abbeville is good. Are they good enough to beat teams like Dutch fork, Dorman, fort Dorchester of that caliber. No. Not due to talent. Some depth yes, but those teams i listed has the staff to make adjistments to the misdirection Abbeville run. You have to be sound and discipline to beat Abbeville

All I see is this but no scores

The Eagles offense sparkled in its first two scrimmages against Easley and Seneca, scoring a combined eight touchdowns. Against the Green Wave, all four scores came through the air as the trio of Eagles quarterbacks: Daylan Rappley, Josiah Jeffrey and Kaleb Burton, each tallied a passing touchdown with Rappley recording two

Is sounds like my eagles are doing pretty good

Greenwood 28 Easley 7
Greenwood 28 Seneca 7 I think
Byrnes 40 something Easley 0
Byrnes beat Seneca fairly convincingly. Don't remember the score.
Seneca and Easley opted not to scrimmage each other in the last session.
Greenwood 7 Byrnes 7

Best played out scrimmage I've seen in a very long time. Sharp contrast from recent years. Definitely worth the 5 dollars and travel from Simpsonville. All the teams know what they need to work on. 3 hours worth of well layered out action.

I hope the covid don't affect the Greenwood Jamboree next Frday.
I know Ware shoals team is quarantined so i doubt they will be there.

What has happened at 96? You guys were good every year when I went to GHS (Fall 98-Spring 02). Back when yall had Mario Williams, Corey Carter (R.I.P) , Devon Hollaway ect.....
