Not sure why the match ups changed, but both places I've checked are saying that Dorman is now scrimmaging Mallard Creek and Byrnes is scrimmaging Knoxville Catholic.

Re: Dorman and Byrnes fans - Change in scrimmage time
Ended up with Dorman -vs- Mallard Creek for 3 quarters
21-7 Dorman
Mallard gave them one score with a fumbled snap on a punt. Outside of that, Dorman looked solid in all aspects on offense and defense. Dorman rotated quarterbacks and I think #14 showed the most promise. Especially as a runner. When Dorman when to the GATOR (running back taking the direct snap with an OL lined up in the back field) they have a killer run game. From what I saw in the three quarters, Dorman is a solid choice to represent the Upper State in Columbia.
Byrnes -vs- West Charlotte
Byrnes got an impressive first drive with some good runs and the QB was quite accurate. I didn't keep the stats, but I'd guess he was 10 for 12 in the first couple of drives. West Charlotte had one long pass and not much else. Byrnes also had another good drive and went for a FG on 4th and goal at the 11 but fumbled the snap. Then the officials called a break due to heat index and then there was lightening in the distance so I left.
The only other thing was the Rebels RB was hurt, I didn't see exactly what happened but it looked bad. They were working on his knee and he was assisted off the field not putting any weight on the knee and after the game was suspended and I was leaving, I saw them give him a ride in the cart to the dressing room. I hope it was all a precautionary effort just to be safe... I wish the young man the best.

Re: Dorman and Byrnes fans - Change in scrimmage time
They called the scrimmage and never resumed. After the heat index mandated break it was lightening. I saw it as I was walking out to the car and saw it several more times as I drove home.
The second string RB did hurt his knee and the ride was not just precautionary, he was really hurting. I have not heard the final details, but I doubt he will be playing this week.
Dorman was impressive in every respect; but they had some errors that had the coaching staff upset (not having the right personnel on the field for the PAT, and a couple of other issues like that, stuff you see early in the season that should go away quickly). Triple threat at QB, RB, and I think they will be a hand full for anyone they play.
As for Byrnes, only two possessions but I liked what I saw from the team. Impressed with the run game (starting RB did not play at all) and that young fellow in the second series was very strong runner. QB was pretty accurate and some solid WR, and good TE play as well. I was not sure what the season would be like, as we had a lot of question marks, but I feel they will be a good team. I'm not saying Dutch Fork needs to be worried, but we might give them a little bit of a game..... I'd take Byrnes and 42 points if DFOLDMAN is willing....
