BEAUFORT-28---------Richmond Hill (GA)-8 (Final)

The defending Georgia Region 2AAAAAA Champions, the Richmond Hill Wildcats rolled in to the Eagles Nest tonight and are headed home with a thorough whoopin'. Scoring on a kickoff return TD after Beaufort took a 14-0 second quarter lead, and on a given safety with less that 2 minutes remaing, the Wildcats managed a measely 5 or 6 first downs all night, while punting at least a dozen times. Beaufort's offense had more than 300 yards on the night, while giving up a buck fifty at best.
The Eagles will trave to Springfield Georgia next Friday night to take on yet another Region 2AAAAAA team from across yon stinky river. Beaufort played without 4 returning starters tonight, but should have all players available next Friday night. Loaded is an understatement for this year's Beaufort High team. We never know what can, or will, happen down the road, but our Region is on notice.

Congrats to My Beaufort Eagles Football Team on opening up the 2021 Season with a BIG 28-8 Win over Richmond Hill!!!! I thought Beaufort dominated this game. The Eagle's "D" played lights out against Richmond Hill. The 8 points by The Wildcats came off a Kickoff return for a TD and a Safety. Beaufort RB Amariee Morris had a great game running the Football with almost 100 yards rushing and 2 TDS.
Wow....what a crowd at the game!!!! That was the biggest crowd that I have seen at The Eagles Nest on both the Home and Visitor Sides in a very long time. I was so glad to see Beaufort High School make some Money off this game to support their Athletic Programs after not making a whole lot of Money last season because of Covid.
This was a great start to the season for My Eagles Football Team. I truly believe that this will be a very special season for Beaufort. I hope and pray that Covid does not affect it.

Wow, I was reading your signature and if I'm not mistaking, your head coach is a former Greenwood player! If it's the same Bryce Lybrand he was a key offensive lineman on Greenwood's 99 and 2000 back to back State title teams. Small world if it's the same guy.

Yes GwoodEagle2k1. You are correct. Coach Lybrand is from Greenwood and played for them. It is definitely a small world! I really like Coach Lybrand and think that he is doing a great job with My Beaufort Eagles so far in his 3 years here.

Yes GwoodEagle2k1. You are correct. Coach Lybrand is from Greenwood and played for them. It is definitely a small world! I really like Coach Lybrand and think that he is doing a great job with My Beaufort Eagles so far in his 3 years here.
