Doodles in s way off this year compared to years past.

First the starting numbers were much higher than years past.

Secondly my lying eyes know that there are too high and too low of values placed on teams.
How do I know that
Well I personally saw Daniel beat two teams in the preseason ( one by 6 tds) that are rated ahead of them.

But let’s take that out the equation

Anyone believe there are 55 teams better than Abbeville
If that’s the case this is the greatest high school football year of all time in this state.

Take this scenario

Woodmont 5A ranked ahead of Daniel , Abbeville , and Southside Christian .

Well their the bigger school right

Woodmont wins right
Except they already have a common opponent

I recently took a pole and 10 out of 10 people in the tee pee were mad that I made the tee pee collapse!





It's only someone's opinion of things. And you know what they say about opinions...

I say a poll is just something to hold up a tee pee
or something to spark conversations on why those "experts" are so wrong!
Unless they have your team ranked at the top! Then they are real experts!

Beginning ratings are a starting point. As the games are played the numbers will adjust for a more accurate picture of the team. I don't know the formula doodles uses but am guessing that in general 5A teams get a points boost, followed by the other classifications. Tough to know exactly what teams have returning as far as players and coaches

the games will be played (maybe?) and the numbers will be adjusted to be pretty accurate
