I listened to the last 5 minutes driving back from the Faniel game and the announcers thought they had a chance when they were down 10 with 2 and change to go because of the lack of defense. They said they would score. If they got the onside kick. I thought Byrnes was still not Byrnes from a decade ago. They were hanging their hat on beating Chapman a couple weeks back. I said Chapman was a fraud and tonight proved it. BC beat them at their house tonight.

It doesn’t get any easier for them rebels next week

They got the injuns next!

Yeah my brother was at that game. He said the Byrnes coach was more worried about Westside playing music between plays then his defense stopping westside. Said that did complained the whole game about the music.

Logic is a little flawed there Dub, because BC is a good ball team. Beating Blythewood is no small task...ask Gaffney.

DF I’m not putting down either BC or Chapman for that matter.
We scrimmaged BC two years ago and they gave all we wanted. Chock full of good looking athletes . Fast. Undisciplined.
They may be the favorite to come out of the lower state.
I think they nearly beat Camden last year.

To Chapman I’m just saying what they have done the last 5 years is remarkable. But they were exposed last year badly and lost most of that defense . Add in that Hodge is no longer there and all I am saying is if their so good they should win that game at home.

If that was us losing to BC at home this entire board would be saying see see I told you so.

And as a Dutch Fork fan you should know that better than anyone because if y’all struggle or were to lose you would never hear the end of it.

Meanwhile teams that have 2 losses in 4 weeks get passes.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

You know what games I remember the most
Is the tight close ones and the losses
The blow out wins are good every once in awhile but I want competition. That’s what makes it fun. So yea anybody and everybody not named Scott POS Early call us and line it up.

If we get our butt kicked so be it.

As far as BC is concerned, it was reported last night that they only brought 30 players to Chapman. If true that has to be troubling.

Byrnes and Westside is a mystery. I know both schools have athletes, but did Covid just ravage both teams on the defensive side of the ball? Hard too imagine that two teams that are supposed to be pretty good could both give up 60

At this point Dub, DF just wants to play a game. They need it for healing, and I know they are tired of scrimmaging each other, though that is the best competition...steel sharpens steel, but I am sure they want to hone on other teams. Giving Tom Knotts 2 weeks to prep for you is never a good thing- Greenwood will get to see what all the hype is about. But like you saw with Byrnes...never place a big money wager on HS kids...haha. Just hope DF plays well and continues to heal.

BC plays Chapin next....interesting match up. Chapin may be the second best team in our region as RB seems down.

Fear The Fox....Fixed On Six...for Jack #60

Byrnes defensive secondary is about a good as one of those paper masks they make us wear in places.

But, we have had a lot of injuries, and while the bulk of them have been on offense, the defense has had some as well. Before the season, I said 6-4 was the most likely number for this team and I now think 5-5 is more likely the ceiling. They will be getting new helmets this week with the new emblem, a M*A*S*H logo. If you look at the stats from last night, the tailback from the 2nd quarter on is not even listed on the depth chart as a RB. We've lost 4 RB's already. Not sure if the injury from last night is season ending or not.

As for the "d" and no capitol "D" is on purpose.... it's beyond unbelievable that we gave up so many points. We gave up more "big plays" in one night than normal in a season. Punter kneeling on a snap at the 4 yard line, didn't help either. The worst part, I don't know that we can fix it any time soon.

My honest expectations unless we find a way to do something with the d:
at Gaffney 10% chance to win
BYE WEEK
vs Spartanburg 50% chance to win
at Riverside 60% chance to win
vs Dorman 40% chance to win
vs T L Hanna 40% chance to win
at Wade Hampton 80% chance to win
