Yeah, it's going to be a lot different at Newberry after this year. Since 1989, we have had 2 coaches. Sam Baird and Phil Strickland. Both took had state championship appearances, multiple 10+ win seasons, and sent countless players to the next level.
I don't think the majority of fans here realize how lucky they have been that we have had 2 successful coaches back to back. With the way things have changed in the city the last few years, I don't know what the next few years will look like on the field.
