Greenwood at Laurens

Post by GwoodEagle2k1 »

Well, region play has officially begun. These are the important ones. Laurens could be a tough out but I fully expect my Eagles to win this one.

Two things can happen Friday night after having a week off. Greenwood comes out flat and keep the game close or Greenwood firing on all cylinders and win big.

Exactly, this is one of those teams we don't need to lose to when it comes to program tradition. Not trying to create any pressure. Just get it done, get a win, and move on. Gooooo EAGLES

You exactly right. We had no business losing to Laurens when the previous coach was in place. It goes to show...Liner was the better coach when he was at Laurens.

Both have had tough non-region games to get them ready for region play. The one advantage that Greenwood has is two weeks off after DF. Playing DF will show you what you need to work on, because Coach Knotts studies opponents like no other and finds their weaknesses.

I started to wish Greenwood, good luck...but as RS says..."luck is a concept created by lesser men to explain away their failures". Prepare and be ready to take to Laurens.

I don't think we'll beat them by that much. It would be nice if we did. They're 2-3 but the teams they lost to are good solid teams. TL Hanna, Clinton and River bluff which are a combined 12-3. They lost close to all 3 so some respect has to be given for playing a solid non region schedule. With that being said we still should win an ought to win. We beat them 35-7 last year but might be a little closer this year. I expect something along the lines of 28-14....24-14 Gwood..... Hopefully we exceed my expectations.

Okay so Laurens lost to 3 good teams.......... And?.... Will have lost to 4 good teams after tomorrow. I don't really care about how tough their non-region schedule was. This is football........ We are Greenwood........ They are Laurens........ Just win. We would lose games like this under the previous head coach before Liner. I don't even care what the score is. Just win.
