This is why you should take polls for what they are, popularity contests. Most voters in the polls just look as the W-L record and don't do any research. The Rebels (2-4) lost at Westside 65-62 and big to Gaffney & Dutch Fork and as time expired to Spartanburg and definitely are not a great team, really not a very good team. But 35-0 over the team ranked at #9 proves that Riverside is not that good.

Right. I'm pretty sure that the people being polled don't pay as much attention to HS ball as us,... and some of us have day jobs.

Glad to see Riverside exposed for what they truly are lately. Just the best of the pathetic football product put out by some Greenville County schools. And by sheer luck Riverside scheduled the absolute worst of the bunch to open the season. And they may have the worst of them all left to play in Wade Hampton. That they were ever even considered for the top 10 was a joke

Well, I guess this answers our question on just how good Riverside was with its great start. It looks like they had played a very weak schedule. Congrats to Byrnes on the win.
