Goose Creek Gators

As many last week have discounted the strength and game play of Goose Creek, many were shocked as to the outcome of the Dutch fork game played at the Swamp last Friday. Many Elements of the Gators team play fell into place and it couldn't have happened at a better time. With region play coming up in 2 weeks . Goose Creek has seen the reemergence of the charge out the gate offense, and a sleeping giant defense awakened. With multiple 4th and goal stops ,and forth and inches for turn over on downs against perhaps a division 1 4A title contender, Goose Creek amassed an impressive scoreless second have verses the Silverfoxes offense which is no stranger to scoring when they want and multiple times. If there were any doubt , it should be all but non-existant right about now.
The Gators Offense is by far the Best I have seen in the last 4yrs, and if you go by numbers , GC has the stats to prove that claim. With some of the earlier tests against it from a ASHLEY RIDGE " yes I said AR" ,you may wonder why ? Well upon a visit to there facilities, they were all on the count down to beat the Creek in the locker room. Even had a clock to count down till the game .
With all that time to prepare for our game against them , many may see now why the score was as it was. Now onto Collenton County , many have seen CC improve under the new coaching for them and many as we have seen post believed that they could win and they did vs Wando , and they should have a few more wins this year.with that being said , many people thought that they scored 30 on us for lack of "D" but now know after seeing there game vs Wando that this is not the CC of old. They have some serious talent on both sides of the ball and well the rest is S.C. history now.Now Summerville , this my friends was an even tougher test than DF in my opinion, for several reasons. #1 we were on there home turf and anyone who has ever attended a Summerville game ,especially when they are undefeated, knows the deal about there home crowd.. Very , very loud and proud of there team. #2 They were without a doubt exponentially matured on offense and also defense , and forget about trying to run a kick off back. With touch backs on every kick off , and booming 50+ yrd punts well you can see why we had to work hard to win that game . #3 Finally with coach King , former offensive line coach of GC , they knew our offensive schemes and our plays plain and simple. But we still played our brand of football and persevered over the soon to be region 8 champs.
My point being that these listed teams ,also to include Fort Dorchester , are and have stepped up there level of play. So as to wrap up my book , before you pull the curtain on anyone's season, just remember to not only watch the score board, but to check on the team they are heading up against .... you maybe surprised by the info you find out, and will be enlightened before you post nonsensical posts.. P.S. this is not directed to anyone just had to get it off my mind ..glad to be here on the Board![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
