Greenville at Greenwood Poll (Gwd Homecoming)

Greenville moves up to 4A number 1 in the state. Greenwood stays put at number 5. I guess the poll people aren't impressed by Greenwood. All the teams ranked ahead of Greenwood are good teams but I dont agree with gville being ranked over my eagles. Not yet anyway. They need to check last years score

I ain't worried about the rankings. We settle it on the field in greenwood. Last year is last year. This is a big game for Liner. Has a chance for his first region title as the head coach for Greenwood. And you I'm sure Porter wants to stick it to us for being passed over for the Greenwood job. Everyone knows he wanted it.

You right last year is last year. I just figured they'd give us a tad bit more respect. Everybody moved up in the polls when ac flora lost except greenwood. but hey, we'll just have to earn it back on the field like you say. zero problem with that.

Folks prob wondering why we would schedule greenville as a homecoming opp. just because most teams usually schedule a lesser opp for homecoming. We only have 4 home games in the reg season. emerald and dutch fork was too early and we had the gwood hall of fame deal last week.

I love having Liner back in Greenwood. One thing he will do is have his players ready to play. One thing he will tell his players regardless if they win or lose is..."you don't give up; you fight to the finish."
It's going to to be a good matchup Friday night. I say Greenwood in a close one.
