Thanks so much for the nice comments Newcat! My Beaufort Eagles needed this Huge Win over Bluffton. I did see you on the Chain Gang Newcat and saw you chatting and laughing with our Coach Bryce Lybrand. That was cool to see. Coach Lybrand is a great guy. Also Newcat, the funny thing is, I saw Your Bluffton Coach John Houpt at Outback after the game and talked to him. Coach Houpt seems like a pretty cool guy. He was talking great about Beaufort and the Eagle Players. What was up with the Bluffton crowd though? There were hardly any Bluffton fans at the game and it was Senior Night for them. Good luck to Bluffton for the rest of their Season.

Beaufort beat Bluffton 45-12 this past Friday Night. My Eagles started the game out making mistakes. Beaufort's QB Tyler Haley threw 2 quick Interceptions on the first couple of drives. But then he settled down and had a Huge Game with 350 yards passing and 3 TDS. Beaufort had 3 Receivers who had over 100 yards receiving each. Eagles Kicker Joe Caprarola had a nice 41-yard Fieldgoal also. Beaufort's Defense had a great game also holding Bluffton to only 12 points on the night. Beaufort was without Great DL Eamon Smalls and also great RB Amariee Morris in this game. Both had minor injuries and Beaufort kept them out of the game to let them heal and get ready for the last game of the regular season and the playoffs.

I thought this was a good comeback win for Beaufort after the heartbreaking loss last week to May River. Beaufort improves to 7-2 Overall and 3-1 in Region 7 4A. This win cements Beaufort in 2nd place in Region 7 4A and assures that My Eagles will open up the 4A Playoffs at Home in 2 weeks. Some things that Beaufort still needs to improve on is their Kickoff coverage and definitely cut out the turnovers. Next up for Beaufort is a trip to Colleton County next week. I am hoping that Beaufort improves in this game and puts up some more big numbers.

I forgot to mention that I was so glad to see Beaufort WR Zyrin Odom have a big night catching the football in this game after being shut out the previous week. I think he will be a weapon for Beaufort in the 4A Playoffs. It was nice seeing My Eagles bounce back with a win last week. Hopefully, they will continue to get better and make a deep run in the Playoffs.
