St. James and Hartsville in 4A, James Island and Bluffton in 3A. :? :?

I wish it were true, 4A-6 would consist of 4 Horry & 2 Florence schools, but it doesn't match the regions they announced.

I believe the problem would be making region 7 and 8 work out. Sumter would be going to Charleston or Columbia to play.

All of the Columbia and most Charleston area schools are a shorter trip for Sumter than Carolina Forest and Conway. I haven't seen the final realignment but the preliminary one was seriously messed-up.

If they let St James stay in 3A it is postponing the move to 4A because it is going to happen. There is a new middle school being planned right now for that area.

After checking the Active Student Headcounts. Here..
http://ed.sc.gov/data/student-counts/St ... counts.cfm

It seems that they left out the 9th grade enrollment at McCracken Middle School for Bluffton's count.
http://ed.sc.gov/data/student-counts/St ... 012-13.xls
They are with Bluffton (Correct)? :?:

Bluffton High 10th- 438 11th- 371 12th- 312 = 1121 total
McCracken Middle 9th- 474
Total Enrollment- 1595

This makes Bluffton 4A and Hartsville 3A. Why they didn't include that here? :?: :?

Correct. The 9th graders at McCracken Middle School should be allocated to Bluffton HS. We discussed this error back in May/June when this list first started floating around. The fact that they still haven't corrected it and have posted the erroneous list on their website reinforces my opinion of SCHSL. Why would they post a list that doesn't match the Class/Regions lists they have been putting out?
