2022 BLITZ BORDER BOWL

I am so excited that I still get to watch 1 more High School Football Game this Football Season. The 2022 Blitz Border Bowl which pits the best Senior players from the Coastal Empire of Georgia against the best Senior players from the Lowcountry of South Carolina. The Blitz Border Bowl will be held at 12:00 PM on January 15th at Savannah's Memorial Stadium.

My Beaufort Eagles have 5 players on the SC Team. They are QB Tyler Haley, RB Amariee Morris, OL John Asher Howell, DL Alvin Wilson and DB Hunter Rast. The SC Team will be led by Beaufort Head Coach Bryce Lybrand. Beaufort will also have 3 Assistant Coaches on this Team. The Georgia Team leads the Overall Series between the Teams 2 Games to 1. This Game was not played last year because of Covid.

I hope to see a HUGE CROWD at this game and of course a South Carolina win. Tickets are only $10 to this game with the proceeds going to the Ronald Mcdonald House Charities.

Funny stat, The Coastal Empire of Ga and the real Lowcountry of SC, had more teams playing for state chapionships than the entire Tri County area. Things that make you go Hmmmmmmmmmm.

How many of these all-star games make the kids pay to play? Outside of the Shrine Bowl (which is currently idle as they change their panties) none of these games draw enough to pay for anything. I guess the North-South has enough sponsor support to make it work. But all of these others? Got to be a money making angle in some way, just wonder if it is on the players themselves?

What are you talking about Slick? These players will get another chance to impress the College Scouts and hopefully get the chance to play College Football. This will sadly be the last game for some of these Senior Players though. But the Players will be fired up to win this game and help their State win this Rivalry Game.
