.... the athletes and coaches of Sumter high school. Assuming the proposed realignment doesn't drastically change, the average distance between Sumter and their region opponents is 94.7 miles.
Once again, dishonorable mention in this category goes to Horry county, for not shifting some students from Carolina Forest to MB and NMB to have 6 schools in 5A. I guess they like spending time and money on buses going back and forth to Sumter, Hartsville, Darlington & Florence.
